Ah sweetytweety you are absolutely right, voldemort was descended from a peverell brother the one with the resurrection stone and Harry was descended from the brother who had the cloak so yes Harry and voldemort actually are related but then Harry’s father was pure blood and voldemorts mother was pure blood and Sirius did say that most pure blood families are related in some way, you see I don’t think it was ever mentioned before because Harry had to find out about the 3 brothers to find the hallows but I also think that J.K Rowling probably did not want to get to deep into how they were related as it would have taken the story off in another direction but what it does show is how much of a connection the both of them actually had to each other, so even if Harry had not been the “chosen one” he would have still been related to voldemort whether he liked it or not.

Ignotus was the third brother & passed the invisibility cloak down all the way to his last living relative Harry the second brother got the Resurrection stone that was the ring that voldemorts Grandpa had it was passed down to the last of the seconds brothers family This is all from the top of my head so the spelling might be off lol So the youngest brother passed the cloak down to Harry & the second brother passed the stone down to the Gaunts that makes them related Have a Great Day!!!
