[Harry Potter Official Club] RE: WW and Mental Illness

 

Ron Weasley- "lacksey kid," ADD, inferiority complex, passive-aggressive behavior, possible borderline personality disorder

 

 

Hermione Granger- obsessive compulsive, fixated with authority/rules/knowledge, stunted socio-emotional awareness (can't relate to her age group and chooses behavior that she knows will get her ostracized), possible asperger syndrome.

 

Does "dating Ron" count as a mental illness?

 

 

Remus Lupin- severe dependant personality disorder (he follows the group even when he knows its wrong and has problems living his own life), depression, post-traumatic stress, ailurophobe, emotionally disconnected

Just as a curiosity, did anyone notice any possible mental illnesses among the characters? I definetly think that Sirius was depressed, possibly even post traumatic stress, especially when we first encounter him out of Azkaban in the shrieking shack. Of course Voldemort was incredibly mentally ill. No, not because he was evil. I couldn't even begin to name all the disorders I could come up with on Voldy. Anyone else have any ideas?
