I thought that she had taken them from they great hall as by the time harry and ron got there the Feast was already after starting

so i imagined she just took them from the great hall

She summoned the food and drink from another location rather than creating it out of nothing. In the book it says the sandwiches and jug of pumpkin juice appeared with a pop. Popping or cracking sounds are characteristic of things arriving magically from other locations.
