Re: [Harry Potter Official Club] How do you feel about the character deaths?

You left out Barty. The three deathes that are the hardest for me (in a way) are Dobby, everyone loved him and opp he's dead, sorry. Hedwig, such a good pet, but JRK did it for a good reason so I cant get to mad. And The Dark Lord, what will we do without him? Was anyone else just waiting for him to get his work done over there with the brits and come to your motherland? I would love it, yah people would die, but come on, cant you just see the nukes falling? SOrry for this last part, just could not help my self.

Here is how I feel about the significant character deaths book 5-7.

I was pretty sad when Dumbledore died, and really surprised. I was
near tears at his death, it was so depressing. I'm not too bothered
by Snape's death other than fact the unfortunate man died before he
could really live, happy and free. And that he didn't live long
enought to make a reconciliation with Harry. Lupin and Tonk's
deaths were understandable, it was sad, but i think it was necessary
for them to die. I mean, to be realistic not everybody you like;
not everybody on the good side is going to survive the war. I am
only sad that Teddy Lupin never got to know what a great man his
father is. Mad-eye, that crazy wizard has Paranoia Personality
Disorder, I swear! It's a shame he died, but you know, someone like
him would want to go down fighting, in the line of duty instead of
old age...or some boating accident.

I disagree with Fred's death the most. I mean 'the Weasley twins'
are just not 'the Weasley twins' anymore without Fred. They work so
well together as a team, and they are so attached to each other.
Most, if not all the scenes that feature Fred and George have them
together, finishing each other's sentences and whatnot. The way
they do everything; break the rules, open a shop, pick on Ron,
fight, laugh... It's just not the same with one of them gone. I
mean eventually they will move apart and start their own families,
but you know, I just wish they were still Gred and Forge.

Sirius...ah yes Sirius. Till the very end of book 7, I was waiting
for him to come back to life--i mean his death was a bit
mysterious. I never liked the fact that he died. I really wanted
him to truly live (like Snape) and develop a growing relationship
with Harry. I know Harry has lots of ppl that care about him, but to
see him lose someone so dear is heartbreaking.

Dobby...i never would have guessed his death, never. It was quite
the emotional scene. His burial was really something. "Here Lies
Dobby, a Free Elf". Hegwig...poor thing. :( (okay, not very
significant, but whatever.)
Did I miss anyone? (other than Mr. Tom Riddle Jr.?)
