from my house accidentlaly stocked a bunch of HBP books by accident.
The canadian publisher got a court injunction to say you can't tell
anyone what happens untio 12:01 july 16. and u had to return the book
and erase all electrionic copies. All this...for a book released a
week before its due date. I mean seriously, i recall in the paper
where they had workers work in the dark so that they couldnt' read the
pages. Or security trucks and safes and whatnot guarding the books.
Really, the whole thing was blown way out of proportion.
I don't know, would you have read it if you got an earlier copy? Some
ppl rather wait to read and discuss the book with everyone else. but
it's pretty hard not to open the book when it's laying right there in
front of you--glaring at you with gigantic signs that read "READ ME,
YOU KNOW YOU WANNA." BUT...they did offer u an autographed copy of
the book and a free HP t-shirt if u returned the book. If it was me, i
would have returned it. (But not before i finished the book in 3 days?
I really don't know if I would have read it, perhaps the temptation
would have been too much).
