[Bookroom] Re:Living Bird Book suggestions

We have a hard to find (I think) book about a bird who is a common raven or black bird and is given golden wings, as he is born with no wings. He is kinda harrassed by the other birds as being snobby because they are jealous of the fancy golden wings. One by one he gives his golden feathers away to help people who he has compassion for; sick, elderly, or those unable to provide for themselves (or family). Each time he does, the feather is replaced by a regular black one. Soon he gives away all his feathers and becomes a regular bird and is accepted back into the bird community, but treasures the experience of helping others. This book is Called Tikko and the Golden Wings. It is by Leo Lionni. The story is set in India. Hope that helps.
