[Bookroom] File - EBayAds

This is an automated post for all Bookroom members who use EBay to buy or sell.

SELLERS

To make it easy for our members to find your auctions and to increase traffic to your auctions, the following procedure is recommended:

As you are writing your auction, include a natural sentence with the words "homeschool bookroom" in sequence.

You could include "this book would make a lovely addition to your homeschool bookroom" or "this is a duplicate of one I have in my homeschool bookroom" or "I'm cleaning my homeschool bookroom so please check my other auctions."

To make this work, the words homeschool bookroom *must* be in sequence and *must* be used *in a sentence as part of your description*." Please *DO NOT* use them in isolation as "key words." EBay does not permit that kind of wording.

You can use this method for any auction that you think Bookroom members would especially like to visit--Living Books or high value collectibles (Many of our members want to know what sells well to finance their libraries.)

But please use your best judgement when using this method. I have a feeling that if a bunch of members use it for auctions totally unrelated to Bookroom interests, doing the special search will become less popular with our bidders.

BIDDERS

Go to http://www.ebay.com/

Click on the "Search" tab at the top of the screen.

Type in "homeschool bookroom" and INCLUDE the quotation marks.

Click on the box beside "Search title and description."

Hit the "enter" key or click on "search."

This should bring up a list of Bookroom member auctions.

*Elaine adds: "THEN if you click "Save this search", the next time you can launch the search with one click from your Favorites page! This is an easy way to keep an eye on what everyone has on auction."

**And Laurie chimes in, "And to take it one step further you can have search delivered to you by email in a digest form as new auctions are added. You can set this up at your "my ebay" Favorites page that everyone who has an account has. I get an email once every couple of days with the new "homeschool bookroom" searches that have been added. It makes it really fun!
